Lighting Up Lives in " the land of rising sun"
"Arunachal Pradesh" , the Northeastern-most state of India is also known as "the land of rising sun". Arunachal Pradesh shares its national borders with the state of Assam and Nagaland. Its international neighbours are Bhutan , Myanmar and China.
Schneider Electric India Foundation worked with a local NGO to provide 300 Mobiya Portable Solar Lights to the beneficiaries of Namshu village. This has been our third project in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and we have reached to over 1500 households over a period of 18 months.
Considering the remoteness of terrain , inclement weather and nomadic lifestyle (many beneficaries are in the profession of Yak pasteurizing) , these solar portable lights have significantly eased their struggle for a sustainable source of light.
Sharing with you all the photo tour of the project.
